In this interview with Alex Ferri, founder of Palmaia, he and Cilla discuss the "invisible energy" of Palmaia, which loans it to having more of a fifth-dimension feel. Backed against virgin Mayan jungle, Palmaia is an oasis that offers a retreat for the conscious soul.

Alex shares his journey of envisioning and establishing Palmaia--which embraces more of an authentic traditional Mayan experience. As a vegan, Alex wanted to share his plant-based lifestyle by offering 5-star vegan cuisine, the best from around the world, one of the many hallmarks of the Palmaia experience. Though most meals are plant-based, Palmaia prides itself on being an open-minded experience, and offers various diet and lifestyle options to it's guests.

Alex shares how opening during Covid ended up being a blessing that allowed him to take a much-needed break and also amplify the purpose and experience of Palmaia. Palmaia's concept is "a retreat on sterioids" as Alex puts it. With the unique Architects of Life, a daily schedule of health and spiritual events, that include over 58 offerings, including yoga, cacao ceremonies, Tibetan bowls, art, breath work, gong baths, music concerts, soul readings, meditation and more. And if you're wanting to bring your family, a Waldorf program is available so your kids will be in the best of care.

Here's a quote from Del Bigtree after his family's recent experience at Palmaia:

This summer I was lucky enough to have had the opportunity to spend a week with my family at Palmaia the house of AiA in Playa Del Carmen. Our family has been blessed with many great trips including a cruise to Cabo, and beach vacations in Miami and Hawaii, but nothing compares with the enchanted experience we had at Palmaia.    Vivid memories abound - from the family bike rides through the lush jungle on our way to the spectacular restaurants and outdoor exercise and yoga classes, to the beach days splashing around in some of the most inviting crystal clear water we have experienced. Though our family tends to eat a Paleo diet, the plant-based cuisine at Palmaia was so delicious and creative that it almost felt like we were visiting another world. I still dream of the grilled watermelon at the sushi restaurant that was on par with some of the best Ahi Tuna sashimi I have had. For the adults there is not enough that can be said about the spa at Palmaia. My wife and I were blown away by the authenticity of the experiences provided. We took part in the Temazcal Ceremony lead by a heart filled Mayan shaman who gently guided a group of strangers through some of their darkest fears to a place of levity and clarity that was transformative.  But my top recommendation, if you were to only experience one at Palmaia, would be the Pre Hispanic spa treatment which we did as a couple.  By the end of the treatment which includes a ceremonial swim in the cenote, fresh herbal body scrub, mud wrap, mask and a traditional massage with warm oils, I felt like I had released all of my earthly transgressions.  I turned to my wife and said “I am ready to be thrown into a volcano now."
